r.
Description: Throw a boomerang to your right hand. Hold the end of the string with the tips of your left hand. Wrap the string 2 or 3 times around the left arm (same direction as regular corkscrew) by scooping the string with that same arm. Without letting go the end of the string, use the left hand to place a normal corkscrew wrap around the top and right arm. Corkscrew around the right arm, lower the left arm, let the top slide along the string between the two arms and corkscrew around the left arm. Advice: To help you wrap the string around the left arm, place the hanging string (close to its end) between two fingers of your right hand (where the top is spinning). This way you can maintain the tension on the string. You'll need a long string, especially if you go for three wraps on each arm. Using a thinner string will give you more length without having to change the way you throw the top. Notes: The wraps on your left arm will tend to slide and bunch close to your hand. On the last loop the top can circle below the hand as in a merry-go-round. Learning how to neatly handle the string without creating a big knot is a large part of this trick. History/Etymology: I posted a video around 2002 on B&S but
Dale Oliver reported that he had already done it. Beware! Bondage can
get you all tied up if you are not careful!
